Healthcare Organizations

Lead From Within – Clinical Leadership Development

Your nurses are leaving - The reason is closer than you think.

The number one reason nurses leave their position is not pay. It is their direct supervisor.

Healthcare organizations invest heavily in clinical training and almost nothing in teaching their frontline leaders how to actually lead people. The result is charge nurses and nurse managers who are clinically excellent and leadership underdeveloped, managing teams they were never equipped to manage.

Lead From Within closes that gap.

Who I Work With

Skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes.

Long-term care organizations.

Mid-size hospital systems.

Specifically: the charge nurses, nurse managers, and clinical supervisors whose leadership directly determines whether nurses stay or leave. The leaders I develop are both women and men because great clinical leadership does not have a gender.

What Your Organization Will Experience

  • Measurable reduction in nurse turnover intentions.
  • Stronger unit culture and team cohesion.
  • Clinical leaders who can have difficult conversations, manage conflict, and build psychological safety.
  • A clear internal leadership pipeline.
  • Data that demonstrates the ROI of your investment.

The Lead From Within Program - 90 Days

Phase 1 – Assessment (Weeks 1–4)

Before any development begins, we assess. Leadership readiness surveys, one-on-one conversations, staff perception data, and review of turnover trends. You receive a written Findings and Recommendations Report that serves as the baseline for everything that follows.

Phase 2 – Development (Weeks 5–10)

Six bi-weekly group sessions with your clinical leaders. Each session builds on the last. Topics include: leading yourself first, clinical leadership identity, communication that builds trust, managing conflict on the unit, building a team that stays, and leading under pressure. Participants receive a workbook with tools they apply back on their unit between sessions.

Phase 3 – Sustainability (Weeks 11–12)

We embed what was built. Post-program assessments, staff perception follow-up, internal accountability structures, and a final Outcomes Report with before-and-after data.
